Shifting Gears

Hey everyone!

As we enter the spring of 2022, more than the change of season is in the air.

There's no need to remind any of you that the last couple of years have been challenging on a number of fronts. Thanks to great customers that continued to ride (and need services, parts, and gear!), we were not only able to keep the doors open - but open in a new location that was a labor of love transforming it into a place we could call home. We even had the coffee bar operating for a couple of months in the fall (thanks, Molly!).

We've spent the past winter evaluating the overall landscape and how we, as an organization, fit it into it.

As most of you know, we have a small crew making the wheels spin. As such, it takes everyone to make things work. We have people retiring soon, others moving on to new adventures and none can be replaced easily.

On the retail side of things, it's been great having the space to stock gear, parts and accessories for our local customers. We carefully selected the mix of products we hoped would serve you best, always being sure to let you know that if we didn't have it, we would get it for you. We appreciate each and every one of you who've supported us in this endeavor. However, it's been a slower growth curve than we hoped for and when coupled with the upcoming changes on the service side of the business, we've come to a point where re-evaluation of our path forward was necessary.

For now, we are shifting to an appointment-only model for service and goods. This will fully go into effect on Friday, April 8, 2022. Email us at [email protected] for any of your needs and questions.

It is our sincerest hope that you will continue to support locally-owned businesses in all industries. They are your friends, your neighbors, your family.

We truly appreciate all of you who have had a hand in helping Tapped Out Cycles become a reality since 2009!
